A decommissioned barge that has found its final harbor not on, but beside the water: This is the film and event location amSee. Located on the eastern shore of Lake Kulkwitz, it presents you with extraordinary settings for photo and film shoots.

amSee offers you the best conditions for film and photo shoots. Around the former barge you will find many wonderful scenery pictures and also the ship itself is an extraordinary film shooting location in Leipzig.

Our location is in a former barge that was decommissioned and brought ashore after 50 years of service. In the early 1970s, it was converted into an excursion restaurant. Since 2019, the historic barge is under a new flag and receives companies and private individuals as an event location on the lake for exclusive events.

Winter garden, lounge, kitchen, outdoor area – there are many different beautiful scenery in our film location. The interior includes many shipbuilding fixtures such as portholes, but also modern elements. If required, installations or conversions are of course possible.

In front of the ship opens a magnificent view of the Kulkwitzer See and Markranstädt. By the way, the location also has its own beach section, which you can also use for your shots.

TV & Film Location: Equipment & Catering

On the premises of the Location amSee there are, among other things, parking spaces for additional diesel generators as well as for trailers and trailers. Connections for heavy current are of course available. Upon request, one of our catering partners will assist you with catering for Cast & Staff.
